BEST DAY OF THE YEAR! (But I'll get to that in a minute) So, I spent the weekend in Appleton, WI. I got to spend ANOTHER weekend with the infamous Brian of Iowa while attending the wedding of our WDWCP buddy, Eric. It was just unreal to see him get married, but his new wife is lovely (and she gets bonus points for knowing all out names and where we are from and repeatedly telling us how thrilled she was we could be there for Eric.) Aside froom the weeding, Brian and I spent some time and the Fox River Brewing Company and the attached mall. The mall had not only a BBW but a WBCC where I was able to pick up the most magnificent candle EVER. It's a Henri Bendel called Winter Woods and it's a limited edition, so RUN, not walk to your nearest White Barn and buy a bunch. LOOOOOVE. So, I just got back from Wisc. and am sitting here burning my candle, enjoy the crisp autumn air, when I get a voice mail from Brian alerting me to the fact that, weeks earlier than expected, Sam Adams Winter Lager has landed in Iowa City, Iowa. So, I RUN, not walk to meijer where I drop $50 on a few 6 pks. of SAWL as well as Sammy's case of Winter Classics. HOORAY! Some may think this a bit extreme, but SAWL is hands down my favorite beer in all the world. Last year I got ONE 6 pk. before it disappeared for the season and I was bound and determined NOT to have that happen again. So, here I am, piney candle, cool autumn air, favorite beer ever... all that's missing is someone to share it all with. *sigh* Maybe next year... Until then, I'll sit here and enjoy Winter Lager Day (Which happens to fall the day before my favorite holiday this year!)

The Window ShopperRandom Gentle Love Dreamer (RGLDf) Loving, hopeful, open. Likely to carry on an romance from afar. You are The Window Shopper. You take love as opportunities come, which can lead to a high-anxiety, but high-flying romantic life. You're a genuinely sweet person, not saccharine at all, so it's likely that the relationships you have had and will have will be happy ones. You've had a fair amount of love experience for your age, and there'll be much more to come. Part of why we know this is that, of all female types, you are the most prone to sudden, ferocious crushes. Your results indicate that you're especially capable of obsessing over a guy you just met. Obviously, passion like this makes for an intense existence. It can also make for soul-destroying letdowns. Your ideal match is someone who'll love you back with equal fire, and someone you've grown to love slowly. A self-involved or pessimistic man is especially bad. Though you're drawn to them, avoid artists at all costs. BEWARE: The Hornivore CONSIDER: The Gentleman, The Loverboy, The Boy Next Door **** Oh, come on. Like we didn't all see THAT coming. I love online tests. They peg me every time. Sometimes voicemail from an aerospace engineer is exactly what a girl needs.

And just like that it's been two weeks and I've given you nothing to read. This time I have a good excuse. I've been catching up with my dear old friend, Mickey Mouse. And all those other o-town kids. Ok, I'm sure there's more to share, but here is a brief rundown beginning 2 days before the Orlando Adventure. So, I (heart) David Gray. I really do. I've always enjoyed him tremendously, but MB and I got to see him at The Fox last week and.... *swoon* He is amaaaazing. I have no words. The new album is great and he did about every song I could have hoped to hear. Yes, including the reason I fell for him in the first place: Babylon. Now go out and get "Life In Slow Motion". You won't be disappointed. The vacation was a blast! Brian (of Iowa) and I managed to pull off the big feat of a Walt Disney World vacation with free lodging and free park admission. We managed to hit up most of our friends to make that happen, but everyone was eager to hook us up and it was AWESOME to catch up with so many old friends! Other than Brian and G, I hadn't seen anyone in almost 2 years, and for some it had been much longer! Much Food and Wine and Festival was enjoyed and we even got to attend Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party! Hooray! But it was bloody hot and I missed Michigan. It was good to explore favorite old haunts and catch a sneak peak of all the "new magic", but I haven't forgotten why I left in the first place. So the big news since I've returned is this: I'm Wireless!!! Well... except for the fact that a bar of soap could probably hold a charge longer than my laptop battery, so I'm kind of tethered to an outlet. It's not the mobility, but the speed that's really the important thing here. Hooray! And now, so I don't continue to babble your brains out, I'll leave you with the requisite lyrics and be on my way: And I will be good to you Just let me try And I will be there for you I'll show you why You're so much more than good enough... -Sarah McLachlan, Good Enough

And in record time, Jimmy Eats World jumps to the top of the play count list for the day...Oh God, please don't tell me this has been in vain I need answers for what all the waiting I've done means You kill me you've got some nerve but can't face your mistakes I know what I should do, but i just can't turn away -Jimmy Eat World, Kill *sigh* The best part (if anything about it can be "the best part") is, before the pod tossed me that song, I was fully prepared to post lyrics from Sarah's "Do What You Have To Do". One of those days. At least I know it's like 25% hormonal... making it 75% reality. suck. ----------------------- update: the really sick thing is, this isn't the first time i've posted these lyrics. wtf, man? really... i can't tell you how much i hate that.

I'm so excited that Fall is really starting to make its presence known. It's so delightfully chilly out right now!I'm excited about my shiney new bundle of joy that is my ipod... in it's Space Ranger Green iskin. Not to mention the sick amount of music I just acquired. Hooray! I'm also excited that I got to chill with Mensa Boy for the first time in WEEKS. He likes to play the "I'm not that entertaining" card, but I know even HE doesn't believe that. I'm excited about some new goodies I'll pick up tomorrow and all the sparkly, girlie, wonderful goodies I'll get to play with in the upcoming weeks. I'm excited about the comment to the previous post, because... well it was just funny. and me. I'm SOOOOO excited about my triumphant return to Walt Disney World next week! I'm almost just as excited about seeing David Gray with Mensa Boy next week as well! But, for all the excitement I would be remiss to ignore things that really don't enthuse me that much. That being said, I'm not a problem finder, but a problem solver, so rather than dwell on disappointments, I'll turn them into personal challeges. Personal Challenge of the Moment: Practice balancing support with disappointment. Specifically, not comprimising what's important to me, without becommng a nag.

Hooray! The ridiculously reduced calories diet that I completely made up and followed (unusually successfully) this last week paid off! I lost 3 pounds! Now let's see if I can keep it up for another week...
