Ok, since clearly my readers aren't big fans of secrets...I need to tell you this: I am such the smitten kitten. If you were Brian in Iowa you might say I am in "deep smit". Being of a Disney background, one might also use words like "twitterpated". No matter what the word... I'm real cute :) Don't you all read too much into that though... I haven't gotten a txt msg that reads "r u my gf? yes". (And yhatzee... that's not a secret code or anything, because bwil and 8-bit will both 'get it') Anyway, sorry to have been a horribly inconsistant poster lately. Been workin' my tail off and puttin' some miles on my cah. (yes, I'm from boston all of the sudden). (I'm completely sunburned and think I might actually be a little delirious. woohoo! Yeah, Delirium!)

Small moves, Ellie. The art of pacing oneself is lost on me. Sometimes I see something I want and go after it full tilt without really considering whether or not it's GOOD for me. This often results in my completely dismissing things that ARE good for me. When faced with the possibility that something might both be what I want, AND be good for me... well, frankly I panic. I don't know how to go slow. I don't know how to let things happen. I don't know how to not freak out. I do, however, have an exceptional talent for getting WAY WAY WAY ahead of myself. And I am pretty good at sticking my foot in my mouth. So there's that. Deep breath. *sigh* (and yet I wish you could see the grin...)

5 years ago today my life was forever altered. I met one of the most incredible human beings anyone could ever hope to know and who I am proud to call not only my favorite person on the planet, but my Best Friend. I get to talk to him almost every day, but I miss him more than he knows. Happy 11-Days-Before-Boxing-Day-in-June, Brian!

Jimmy Fallon Day 2005! Celebrating Jimmy Fallon Day (aka MTV Movie and/or Music Awards hosted by Mr. Fallon) requires dressing up in fabulous outfits. Why? because we like fabulous outfits. Here are some pictures from the very first JFD, back in 2001. It was celebrated in sunny florida with my roommate, Michelle. ![]() ![]() ![]() Click the pics for slightly bigger versions. You should note the tiger striped fake nails and the metallic red, white, and blue false eyelashes. And the "portuguese prom shoes" (I miss Jarrad!)... which I am wearing right now. So while you are all out having fun, acting cool, being sick, flying to Texas, etc... I will be celebrating my 3rd favorite holiday. A couple links for ya: First, a hardy congratulations to one of my favorite couples on the planet, Matt & Heidi. I've had the pleasure of knowing them before "matt&heidi" was born, protecting Harambe Wildlife Reserve with Heidi, and let's not forget... having Matt's appendix pretty much burst in my living room. True story. And emergency room lobbies? Yeah, those floors are NOT comfortable! So, here's wishing them the best of luck in their engagement, their future marraige, and their beautiful new house. Next, a couple weeks ago my AIM away message begged the question, "Where would one find a definitive and up to date listing of scientific names for ungulates? eh?" No one really felt the need to answer that question, but you better believe I figured it out all by myself. And after expending all that energy, I found this site which fascinates me. Also, in as complete a form as possible... here's my favorite ungulate: animalia chordata (vertebrata) mammalia (theria [eutheria]) artiodactyla bovidae (bovinae) tragelaphus eurycerus But I wasn't content knowing the taxonamy without knowing what it all meant step by step... soooo, of course it's an animal, more specifically a vertebrate, which not only gives live birth, but is not a marsupial. It is an even toed "true" ungulate most closely related to your average cows and the larger antelope, in particular the spiral horned variety found in africa. And "eurycerus"... well, that's the clincher, isn't it? Yes... I know what an obsessive freak-geek I am.

Cast your vote for the Greatest American. Maybe we can beat W. once and for all... Third times the charm, right? *sigh* And, no... no surprise where my vote went. Though there are many worthy candidates. Also, my man TJ, and his fellow Founding Father, G-dub, make an appearance in the top 25, to which I can only say: "Virginia or Virginian?" A little out-of-the-loop venting: Ok, YES, I agree Cars should enjoy a summer release. But it should have been summer 2005. I guarantee that flick is sitting in a can somewhere as done as done can be. There's no reason it couldn't have made a Summer '05 debut. Oh, but then Chicken Little would have some legitimate competition... In-house competition. And we wouldn't want that. And while it would be an inappropriate holiday release... It would pretty much guarantee a crappy season for Valiant. So it's been relegated to Summer '06. The real reason this pisses me off? Due to the Pixar/Disney contract, we can't get out next dose of juicy Pixar goodness until one calendar year has passed from the release date of Cars (completing the 5 picture deal). That's effing 2007! What the hell do you want from me!? Even if Chicken Little and Valiant ARE good, as I truly expect they will be, they're about BIRDS. Birds won't make me happy. CARS won't even make me happy. FRENCH RATS will make me happy. A traditionally animated Ray Gunn would make me blissfully happy. Two effing years. hrmpf. Whatever.

Sometimes when a week goes by without me posting it's because there has been so much goin on that I'd love to tell you about... but then never do. This time is about the opposite. But with the big sale going on at work I have finally been hit with the hours I need so badly. I have also probably spent my next paycheck on goodies. But I do have Christmas about taken care of. ha! So, if I'm scarce for the next week or two... it because I'm at work. Come see me.
