in serious need of a better balance between work, not-so-work, and school...

belated happy birthday to safari brian.
i gave tom arnold a high five on saturday. i am homesick for disney world. i was too broke to buy kelly clarkson's single AND monster's inc. today. i guess i'll just have to wait for kelly's album. i think her name might be spelled kellie. i sure hope not. my 'albino asian bitch' roommate forced me to eat chinese food tonight. i might explode i'm so full. next time we are sharing our chinese delivery. i'm out of one-liners. goodnight!

ok, there really is no clever or funny way to put this, i guess.
last night i set my apartment on fire! (no, really. i did.) ok, ok, it was really just the stove and it wasn't my fault, but we had at least 18 inch flames, and nearly unbearable smoke, and electrical popping noises and now our apartment reeks of fire extinguisher and smoke. (oh, and by the way, no one was hurt and other than our already-crappy stove, there were no damages.) i just know there is no way this will seem as funny when you read it as it seems in my head (maybe because when you close your eyes you don't see a bunch of people running around in a haze trying to find potholders or beating a deafening fire alarm with a maglight). it's that problem of translating my in-person storytelling skills to text. however, pictures speak a thousand words, and while i wasn't quick thinking enough to photograph the fire itself, i have caught the aftermath just for you... (and it turns out insurance companies like pictures too! but the first thing i thought when i looked at my kitchen was, "oh i need to put this on my web page!") i know. i'm pathetic. but i do know where the breaker box for our apartment is and how to disable fire alrams now... and also how to attract half a dozen college boys. (why didn't i think of this scheme earlier??) anyway, here you are: the kitchen the stove what would have made a nice dinner (except i think the stuff in fire extinguishers is probably toxic.)

what!? new pictures?? this has to be some kind of a joke!
no, really. i put up a few measley pictures of this summer so you could see what kind of trouble i was up to. mostly you'll see a lot of cheesy group shots... you know, "everyone huddle together and act like you like eachother". the best part is, half the people in most of the pics didn't really like eachother at all most of the time. i was bad at taking pictures this summer. i didn't get enough pictures of my favorite people or moments. a picture of everyone anxiously gathered around our tv on a tuesday evening would have been nice. and texas, or whoever has the good picture or the "BOOBIES"... please send me a copy! we don't want to deprive the galactichero.net audience, now do we? i keep posting about this summer... why? because i don't really want to be here. that's why.

seriously thank you to everyone who literally bombarded me on AIM this evening. i know i haven't been around, and that sucks cuz i can be bad at keeping in touch.
j-rod was right though... it's nice to feel loved! good golly, i need a computer! this whole "find time to haul my butt to the computer lab" nonsense has gotten old unfortunately quickly. but that's ok, because i'm here now. classes started last week, and you know, since i have ADHD i thought it would be an exciting challenge to just take two classes that meet once a week. if you think YOU have a hard time sitting through a 2.5 hour lecture/discussion... you don't know the half of it. fortunately the other class is Life Drawing II so i can move around a little more and we get more breaks and variety in our activities. UNfortunately it's THREE and a half hours. but i do just to stare at naked people the whole time... so whatever. in other news: tamayra and justin who? you go, kelly clarkson! if only team 15 and the kids could have been together to watch the finale. it's all just in time too since the season premiere of smallville is right around the corner. the last thing i need is a tuesday night tv conflict, right? what else? oh, that "promotion" i was sure to get... yeah... well, i'll probably still get it. SOME DAY. i'd certainly like the $$ now, but i suppose good things come to those who wait, right? ok, i have a lot to do but i wanted to check in. i'm sure this won't be the last thing i write tonight while i have the chance.
