all three of my existing picture pages have new photos (links to the left).
obviously i haven't done a damn thing since i got back from florida. let's see. since midnight sunday night i have talked to bri on the phone once, i have added about 25 pics to the site, i have read 2 pages of the adventures of tom sawyer, i have gone to cheddar's for lunch with andy, i have gone to one class, and i stopped by the phi mu house to visit. that about sums it up.
(notice nowhere in that list does it mention unpacking my car.)

pangani forest? look what i found!
(sometimes we also see black rhinos and cheetahs in this area of the website. -notice the tall cones of earth all around the rhino webcam... they are as hard as concrete you know. i bet those rhinos like to use them as scrathing posts.)
also, i caught some lions sleeping on some kopjes. no, really! i did! look, i have proof!
i searched the lifetime website f o r e v e r but couldn't find anything on the winnie cooper movie... ah, those "moment of truth weekends"... those were the days!

ooo! my photo page for this summer is good to go. there are only three pics up right now, but i must now watch buzz lightyear of star command with my sister. plus scanning pics on my computer is a pain. how slow can a computer be, really?

i'm on my way home. i'm in pendleton, south carolina right now... staying with will and carrie. hopefully i'll catch up with (movie) brian in cincinnati tomorrow night. it's weird not being in florida. i just kinda feel like i'm not in the mood to deal with other people right now so i'm afraid i'm not a very good house guest.
oh well. what can you do.

so, today is my last day of work...
that sucks, and it's starting to sink in. i'm kinda glad that brian is already gone, or leaving tomorrow morning would be horrible! so far i've talked to him like a million times a day. i've also talked to rebekah, and sara a little. i hope we all can keep in touch. i'm going to miss everyone so much!
i'm barely packed. surprise surprise. i have to work a whopping six hours today then i have to get my butt in gear and clean and pack like a mad woman. this could get ugly though. packing is NOT my forte.
so, i will be home in a few days. lucky you. that means i'll begin regularly updating again, and i'm just guessing but i think the site is definitely in for a face lift... i still need to get all that extra content up here too... it's been a busy summer though.
i can't believe it's over.

so all but one of my roommates are gone now, and even worse: (safari) brian left this morning. it sucked. i didn't really know what to say to him but i knew he felt the same way, so we pretty much just said "see ya real soon", and he busted outta here before it got ugly.
so anyway, now it's about 2pm friday afternoon. so far today (since bri left) i sat around and acted really pathetic for awhile, and ended up throwing out almost a whole cup of soup because i had suddenly lost my appetite (who knew it was really my
appetite that was attatched to his hip?). then i saved the galaxy in my apartment for awhile (he bought me a buzz lightyear space ranger spin ion cannon -complete with targets- as a goodbye present)... oh, and not only did i achieve my official goal for the summer (kathryn declared i must kiss a black guy before i left), i managed to save the apartment's toilet paper from the evil emperor debbie. (don't even ask... you know you don't want to know.) anyway, it had to be done... you know: take one for the team....
so anyway, now i have all afternoon to sit around and be pathetic by myself. at least my dad is coming tonight, so this weekend i'll have something to do. because of that, i thought that maybe it wouldn't really hit me that brian was gone til i got to work on monday... but it has become painfully clear that i was wrong. i miss him tons already and it sucks... so i'm going to go back to
my apartment and start plotting which weekend in the not too distant future would be ideal for me to migrate (just one of me... i'll leave the other million at home) to iowa.

it has become unbearably apparent that the summer is coming to a close. two of my 5 roommates are already gone, and two more leave at the end of this week.
even worse, (safari) brian leaves bright and early friday morning. i don't know what i'll do without him. i may actually cease to exist... we'll have to wait and see.
both of the brians, babs, and i went camping monday night. we drove to clearwater and enjoyed the sunset, then drove around f o r e v e r looking for a campground. we ended up paying way too much for a lumpy campsite, and nearly all died of suffocation in our sauna/tent. it was all worth it though when we got to the beautiful white sand beach tuesday morning. the water was great and we all got burnt to a crisp. my complexion is now quite similar to the pink on this page. we built masterpieces in the sand, and even went "hippo" spotting along the beach. hehehe.
the animal kingdom had a closing banquet for their college program cast members last night. we got zebra striped mouse ears with a graduation tassle, and i had mickey himself sign them! it was sad though. they had some of the entertainment cast members perform for us, and "you'll be in my heart" nearly did me in. i'm such a sap.
anyway, by friday night i'll be virtually friendless here... luckily my dad and luann are coming to keep me company for a few days...
sigh.

what a day! i had a "show observation" cast member sneak on one of my safaris and i got rave reviews (once again). i even got a "guest service fanatic" card for having an "excellent safari". go me!
also i got to pick a random group of guests to go backstage and visit our white rhino barn where they got to meet an animal keeper and some of our rhinos. we even got to touch one! yeah!
anyway... the good news is my dad will be down here soon. the bad news is... by then most of my friends will have gone home already.

i'm so excited! my dad and luann (his girlfriend) are coming down to visit me in a couple weeks! it'll be right before i go home, so i'd see them soon anyway... but it will be so nice to have someone from home be able to see what i've been up to all summer. they'll be able to see my awesome apartment and they'll be able to go on my safari! i can't wait!
my friend brian's parents are visiting right now, and they are driving him nuts. (that is safari brian, as opposed to movie brian with whom i drank around the world in a previous post...) actually, i love his family... they are so funny... but they are all just getting on eachothers nerves i guess.
oh well.
